This summer, Bibury Court Hotel will be providing the stunning backdrop to two captivating open air opera performances to be held on the Bibury Court lawns. Bring a picnic and something to sit on and enjoy a spectacular English summer's evening of entertainment!
Two lively performances will be staged by leading opera company, Opera Brava:
Friday 25th July 2008 8pm - Carmen
Carmen lays claim to the title of ‘The Most Popular Opera’. The music, full of extravagant melody and rich in operatic hits has enchanted audiences over the decades. This production, vibrant with energy and passion, takes hold of the dramatic story of Carmen and captivates the audience during the entire unforgettable evening.
Saturday 26th July 2008 7:30pm - Candlelit Gala Concert & The ImpresarioThe evening begins with The Candlelit Gala Concert - a pot pourri of opera’s most inspiring music. Enjoy a selection of well known arias, duets, trios and ensembles from all the popular and well loved operas, ranging from Mozart to Sullivan.
After the interval, the evening continues with 'The Impresario', a fully costumed 18th century comic opera, sparkling with wit and humour. With powdered wigs and period costumes this intimate evening has something for everyone.
Tickets for either performance are priced at just £25 for adults and £10 for children and are available by calling the Box Office on 01444 443000.
